Spectra Engineering & Research, Inc. has been involved in the design, planning and construction of several new churches, fellowship halls, and additions to several existing churches. SER has been able to provide full professionals services, including turn-key and design-build services to various churches. Our staff is familiar with the difficulties of financing and fund-raising and are willing to work with the churches through those difficulties. SER has provided the following services to churches:

New Salem Primitive Missionary Baptist

A client hired the services of our firm to investigate the cause of severe cracks along the side of the church walls, floors and the settlement of the wall and foundation. Through our analysis and investigation, we discovered that the church was built at the site of an old landfill. We were able to restore the church by raising and leveling the floors and walls. We used piling to stabilize the building and floors. Through this process we were able to save the client a great deal of money in renovation cost.

+ Celebrate New Life Tabernacle

Celebrate New Life Tabernacle

Spectra Engineering & Research was hired to plan and design masterplan and new construction of their sanctuary and fellowship hall. The site for the project was a 25-acre parcel that posed different challenges including 100-year flood plain, wetlands and other natural feature. Spectra Engineering developed the masterplan, provided civil and site design, water and wastewater design, roadway design, parking lot design, grading/drainage design, stormwater facility design and construction administration. Spectra also hired and managed other consultants (Architects, MPE), that participated in the projects.

+ Abundant Life Ministry Master Plan

Abundant Life Ministry Master Plan

Spectra Engineering & Research was hired by Abundant Life Ministries to plan and design a master plan for their “vision” and proposed growth. The elements of the master plan included worship center, prayer tower, community performing arts center, the whole man center, saint’s plaza, playground, fountains, and commercial/retail area. Other features include parking lots, extensive landscaping and stormwater facility. Spectra’s staff worked with the church, pastor and members in communicating their dreams for the preliminary design.

Testarina Primitive Baptist Church hired Spectra Engineering & Research to plan and design an expansion of the present church and proposed master plan including a 700 seat sanctuary, fellowship hall, gymnasium, parking facility and infrastructure improvement. Some unique challenges of master plan include canopy road restrictions, absence of centralized sanitary sewer systems in the area and water system extensions.

Spectra Engineering & Research was hired to assist an architectural firm in the planning and design of massive addition to an existing church facility. Spectra provided surveying services, site and civil engineering design, parking lot facilities, water and wastewater system design, stormwater facility design, environmental permitting and construction administration.

This reputable church in Tallahassee embarked on a major expansion that would triple its current building size, provide additional parking and other amenities. Spectra Engineering & Research was hired as their civil engineering consultant. SER provided site planning, civil engineering design, parking lot design, stormwater facility design, environmental permitting and construction administration.
