Ortega-Arlington-lakeshore stormwater bypass and drainage improvements
SER was hired a prime consultant to investigate drainage problems on and near Ortega Road. SER has part of this task is to design stormwater bypass and drainage systems. Elements of this work include survey, feasible annalist, drainage design, geotechnical investigation, stormwater calculations, environmental permits, and preparation of bid documents.
Cloudland Street Roadway (2/3-2/3) & drainage Improvements
SER has a prime consultant to Leon County was to prepare a set of plans and specification to be use to the improvement of Cloudland Road. Work elements shall include survey, roadway design, drainage design, geotechnical investigation, stormwater calculations, environmental permits, and preparation of bid documents.
Orange Avenue PD&E Study and 30% Design
Spectra Engineering & Research, Inc., was hired by Leon County Commission to conduct a PD&E study and 30-percent construction document of a 1.7 mile segment of Orange Avenue. Orange Avenue was originally a to lane major arterial. Part of the design task and studies was to expand it to a four-lane divided highway with a median. Services provided in this project include right-of-way surveying, roadway design, alternatives analysis, preliminary and final engineering reports, permitting, public participation and 30-percent design and construction documents.
Fairmont Road, Tallahassee, FL
Spectra was hired by a local developer to plan and design Woodberry Subdivision located in Tallahassee, Florida. The site for this development posed several challenging environmental issues including steep slope, wetlands, floodplains areas, and other environmental features. Our engineers planned and designed a new street, Fairmont Road, and 30 lots for single and multifamily dwellings as part of the subdivision. Other services performed include site development, stormwater facilities design, roadway design, water and sewer infrastructure design and extension, environmental permitting, and construction administration.
Myers Park Curb & Gutter Improvements
SER provided site planning, site engineering and environmental permitting services. Other services included road improvement, curb and gutter construction, drainage and erosion improvements, landscaping, and picnic area.
The scope for this project involved the master planning and design of a 30 -acre subdivision. The subdivision at build out will accommodate 90 single family homes with all amenities. Services provided include, complete roadway and parking design, stormwater management facilities, drainage studies and design, grading, water and wastewater system design, stormwater management facilities modeling and design, environmental engineering services, infrastructure planning & upgrade, stormwater management permits and construction plans and specifications. The following streets were designed as part of Pine Ridge Estate Subdivision in Thomasville, Georgia:

Kate Sullivan Elementary School Master Planning & Driveway Improvements
SER was selected to perform master plan and driveway improvements for Kate Sullivan Elementary School. Under this contract, SER developed a Master Plan including different design alternatives and cost estimates. We also provided site engineering, grading, drainage, roadway design, permitting and land surveying services as part of this project.
Town of Eatonville – Kennedy Boulevard Streetscape
Spectra Engineering & Research, Inc., is providing Construction Administration, Construction Engineering Inspections, and Construction Certifications for this 0.5 mile urban streetscape that includes mill and re-surfacing of the existing streets and installation of a new stormwater system.
